After her cousin, Fuyuna, is possessed by Daemonia, Akari is forced to kill her, making her awaken her powers. Not long after, she gets an ability that lets her hear the Daemonia's voices. Akari is actually part-Daemonia, which is why she can hear the Daemonia's voices themselves.
