Fuu describes her death from illness, and her quiet and resigned acceptance of her husband's absence, in her story at the campfire. She is also featured prominently in Fuu's speech to her father. We are treated very briefly to a glimpse of her still healthy and relatively happy, in Fuu's recollection of praying to the Christian Kami-sama for the chance to one day meet her father.
