A boy who taught Kuroko the basics of basketball after Kuroko became interested in the sport from watching matches on television. He was a regular member of the basketball team at Kamizaki Junior High before quitting. The reason he quit was because when he and his team played against Teikou at the finals, Teikou didn't even take them seriously but his team still tasted a really crushing defeat. Ogiwara was devastated by this, and he quit basketball. Even though Kuroko was Teikou's member, Ogiwara didn't bear any grudge against him, but instead he left his wristbands for Kuroko, and his last words was to encourage Kuroko to continue playing basketball, as delivered to Kuroko by his teammate. He shows up during the last quarter of the Winter Cup finals to cheer on Kuroko.[/spoiler]
