The daughter of the woman that owns the house Sensei is staying at, she is a spirited young woman and an excellent player of both the koto and piano. She ends up marrying Sensei, but it is later revealed she does not love him nor is happy about the prospect of being forever stuck in her mother's house. She seemingly loses her virginity to K, and asks him to take her away the same night; after her mother accepts Sensei's proposal for her hand, she again tearfully asks him to leave with her.
