Another Applefield orphan, Oliver is the first among Nadja's friends to turn 13 and leave for the city to find work as an apprentice. He ends up working at a leather craftsman's shop, learning how to make beautiful handmade saddles. Oliver is a brave boy who has always admired Nadja.
