He has taken a fancy to Iori Sei's mother, Rinko, is a fan of the Gunpla-sponsered pop idol, Kirara, and a long time friend of Master Chinan of the Gunpla Shingyo School. Veteran Gundam fans and renown figures in the Gunpla scene recognize Ral's power and address him as "Lieutenant Ral” or “The Blue Giant.” His fame even reaches out to criminals and has a rehabilitating power. While he has an optimistic persona, a shadow of mystery also shrouds much of his background, as he is acquainted with figures from the Gunpla mafia. Once the club established Team Try Fighters, they trained for the Gunpla Japanese Under-19 Championships under Ral's passionate training. Ral has only lost five times in his gunpla battle career, the latest being against Yuuma's Lightning Gundam. His hemorrhages peak whenever a character's love life progresses and recently, the hemorrhages have been specifically sensitive to the relationship between Kamiki Sekai and Hoshino Fumina. He is very interested in how it'll turn out.
