Rea Masaki works with Nobuyuki in his architecture business. She learned how to cook from Tenchi's mother; hence Rea's cooking tastes just like how Tenchi's mother used to cook. For some time after Kiyone's death, Rea acted as a surrogate mother to Tenchi. Rea eventually marries Nobuyuki, becoming Tenchi's step-mother.
