Sakuya is one of Kuuya's attendants and Genjimaru's granddaughter. Kuuya offered her once to Hakouro as a concubine, an offer he, rather embarrassed, declined. Kuuya comically told Hakuoro and Eruru that Sakuya was "good in bed". Both Eruru and Hakuoro took this the wrong way, since KÅ«ya actually meant Sakuya was "good at making beds". Her hair was once quite long, but was cut to just below the neck by a spear from one of Hakuoro's palace guards as she was running away from them as she snuck into Hakuoro's palace one night. In the game, when Genjimaru and Sakuya leave Kunnekamun to assist Hakuoro, the tendons in her legs are cut as a proof of loyalty so she will not escape to warn Kuuya. After Kuya's mental breakdown that reduces her mental state to that of a child, Sakuya becomes her full-time caretaker.
