Debut: Episode 11 "Gamblers and Gallantry" Once the respectable wife of a store owner, Shino is forced to work in a brothel to help pay off her husband's gambling debts. A chance encounter with Jin leads to a fairytale romance and hope for freedom from her degrading life. She flees with Jin into the night, and once past the brothel guards boards a small boat to go to an Enkiri Dera, a temple that functions as a safehouse for women, declaring her independence from her husband. Jin pushes her boat off while he is still standing on the dock; she reaches for him but he's already too far. She whispers, "Thank you!" as she vanishes into the mist.
