He initially learned ninjutsu from his great-grandfather before transferring into Ninjutsu Academy as a fourth year student. He's very enthusiastic and easily excited, and will burst into laughter at even the corniest, unfunniest jokes. As such, he's one of very few people to honestly find Andou's bad jokes and puns funny.
