Shuuichirou Oonuma is an elderly professional mahjong player and a supporting character of the manga "Saki". He serves as a commentator for Kagoshima Prefecture's qualifying tournament. Oonuma is one of the few people to take notice of the four-wind "gates of hell" yakuman hand regularly produced by Hatsumi Usuzumi of Eisui Girls' High School.
