Suzuki Sora is a girl from the countryside of Hokkaido. She loves Biei, the place she grew up in. She has a dog and lives with her mother, who is working hard in the fields. Her father passed away. The biggest difference between Sora and her mother is that Sora is aiming to become a mage. She is a cheerful girl that can't stand watching people suffering, and is pretty helpful at heart. Sora gets accepted into a mage school in Tokyo, which leads her to meet a strange boy, Midorikawa Gouta, who has problems using his magic. Sora, who is an advanced mage, falls in love with the boy, and she helps him out later. Later As Kouta and Sora fall in love in the series, it doesn't take too long before Sora becomes depressed; not being her usual self, something Kouta notices. Later on the truth is revealed: Sora has an "increased heart rate disease", the same disease that killed her father. In the end She dies in the arms of her mother after finally graduating. Several years later, Kouta visits her grave before setting off to continue his surfing career.
