The story begins with two figures at a cemetery, one of which is Yuiko Takeda a teenage girl who is possessed by Lord Shingen's lover, Sanjyo. Sanjyo has strong spiritual powers and is able to break the seal of her lord's tomb with the help of Danjo Kousaka. When Sanjyo approaches Takaya and Yuzuru for the first time, she finds herself getting scorched by the strange purple flames of purification. Sanjyo temporarily leaves Yuiko's body and Yuiko has temporary amnesia.
