Kitahara Hakushuu (January 25, 1885 - November 2, 1942) is the pen-name of Kitahara Ryuukichi (北原隆吉), a Japanese tanka poet active during the Taishou and Shouwa periods of Japan. He is regarded as one of the most popular and important poets in modern Japanese literature.
